Dr. Emily is ANCC Board certified as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Licensed in New Jersey. Dr. Emily is specialized in family Psychiatry, addiction and cancelling, and has worked extensively with psychiatric / mental illnesses in adults and geriatric patients, and with children and adolescents.
Dr. Emily works in several facilities and agencies to treat patients with Psychiatric / mental illness spectrum. She treats patients with Schizophrenia, schizoaffective, Bipolar spectrum, depression and anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), Post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD) , Eating disorders, children and adults with Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and dementia among other disorders..............

Our History

However, in the mid-20th century, the development of new medications and treatments led to a shift towards a more medicalized model of mental health care, which often involved hospitalization and the use of medications to manage symptoms. Today, mental health and psych wellness hospitals continue to provide a range of services, including medication management, individual and group therapy, and other forms of supportive care to help people manage their mental health conditions and achieve a better quality of life.

Perform Psychiatric Evaluation.
A correct and detailed diagnosis improves treatment success. At Ideal Psych our staff have expertise in diagnosing psychotic spectrum disorders; among them, psychotic disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and personality disorders. In addition to clarifying a primary diagnosis, psychological assessment can uncover strengths that can be leveraged in the recovery process as well as underlying challenges that need to be addressed - such as a learning disability or an age-related cognitive impairment - for treatment to be successful.
Addiction Services.
Ideal Psych help individuals with addictive behaviors stop compulsive drug seeking and use. Treatment can occur in a variety of settings; take many different forms and can last for different lengths of time.
Psychotherapy.
We help people with a broad variety of mental illnesses and emotional difficulties. Through Psychotherapy we help eliminate or control troubling symptoms, so a person can function better and increase well-being and healing. This may be conducted in an individual, family, couple, or group setting, and can help both children and adults.
Completing Treatment Plan.
Ideal Psych in conjunction with other clinical staff completes Treatment Plans for our patients hence helping them in their recovery journey.
Knowledge of key principles of growth and development of Lifespan.
Ideal Psych demonstrates knowledge of key principles of growth and development of the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status. Also, interpret the appropriate information, including lab work, patient’s medical and psychiatric history needed to identify each patient’s needs relative to his/her age in accordance with the Center’s policies and procedures.
Prescribe Medication.
We prescribe Medication and Monitors its benefits/Side Effects.
Respond to Inquiries.
Responds to inquiries directed by nursing staff and other medical associates/providers.
Maintains Communication.
Maintains Communication on regular basis with clinical staff, families and outside agencies.
Maintaining Clinical Docs.
Maintains thorough, timely clinical documentation using electronic medical records system.
E-prescribing & E-Labs.
We use Electronic Prescribing to fasten and secure the process of prescription.
Participates in Perfomance Improvement(PI).
We retrospectively assess our current clinical practice, choose areas for improvement and implement interventions based on current treatment guidelines (evidence-based practice) and national and global healthcare standards.
Trauma informed mental health assessment and treatment.
Provides trauma informed mental health assessment and treatment collaboratively with individuals through wellness and recovery, and person-centered care/treatment.

Serves as a consultant to other staff.

- . We perform medical and psychiatric history taking, utilizes appropriate diagnostic techniques and prepares a comprehensive psychiatric assessment report.
- . We order and review lab data, radiological examinations, and diagnostic tests. Completes accurate and appropriate orders; develops treatment plans in conjunction with physician; documents all aspects of care according to standards. Does regular follow-ups with patient based on clinical needs.
- . We recognize and evaluate patients who require immediate attention of a physician, and when necessary, initiates emergency psychiatric treatments and referrals.
- . We provide necessary education, instruction, and counseling as indicated after assessing the learning needs of the patient and family.
- . We conduct and manage care pre-certifications for patients requiring admission to inpatient psychiatric care.
- . We keep track of all consultations done by the Consultation-Liaison team and makes monthly report to Department Chair.
- . We perform Psychiatric care of patients on the Inpatient Psychiatry unit as well as in Psychiatry Consultation Liaison Service.
- . We give back to the community through volunteerism and philanthropic works which will be geared towards community health promotion and prevention of diseases to enhance lives.
